<h1><b>Job Description</b></h1><p></p><p><b>Purpose of the role</b></p><p>To support the Risk Function in delivering it’s objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.</p><p></p><p><b>Accountabilities</b></p><ul><li>Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.</li><li>Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services.</li><li>Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Assistant Vice President Expectations</b></p><ul><li>To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.</li><li>Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. They will also be expected to demonstrate the Barclays Mindset – to Empower, Challenge and Drive – the operating manual for how we behave. </p><p></p><p></p><p>Join us as an Economic Crime Risk Manager - Product Review colleague, where you will provide expert guidance to product teams and leadership on new product approvals, ensuring appropriate economic crime risk assessments and controls are embedded across Business Banking products. You will support effective product management by reviewing and challenging product proposals, overseeing the completion of governance artefacts and documentation, and ensuring robust control frameworks are in place to identify, mitigate, and monitor financial crime risks throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will provide oversight and assurance that products are launched and managed in line with regulatory requirements, risk factors, and business objectives.</p><p></p><p>To be successful as an Economic Crime Risk Manager - Product Review, you must have the following essential skills</p><p></p><ul><li><p>Considerable product management experience with the ability to provide expert advice and challenge on Business Banking products throughout the product lifecycle.</p></li><li><p>Excellent stake
