Job Summary:

The Part-Time Front Office Receptionist in Greensboro, NC will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming environment for our patients and ensuring efficient front office operations. This individual will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling, as well as provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and medical staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in person or by phone, providing assistance as needed.
  • Register patients accurately in the Practice Management System (EMR) and prepare necessary documentation for upcoming appointments.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, including contacting “No Show” patients to reschedule as necessary.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, and document information accurately in the system.
  • Ensure the reception area is welcoming, clean, and organized.
  • Handle financial transactions, including collecting patient copays and ensuring confidentiality of financial information.
  • Assist with any patient inquiries and provide information about services offered.
  • Maintain operational protocols by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required; Associate's Degree is a plus.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred, particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a pleasant, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to handle patient interactions with empathy and care.
