Position Overview
Power your future with Qualus in our Field Engineering department as a Field Service Project Manager! The Field Service Project Manager is responsible for overseeing job projects from start to finish ensuring compliance with Company standard practices and procedures. Responsibilities include interfacing with clients, reviewing job specifications and changes, estimating, and quoting jobs, and coordinating the planning and execution of jobs. Additional responsibilities may include providing technical support.
Responsibilities
- Interfaces with client to assess and qualify specifications and opportunities
- May be responsible for assisting with and/or generating and delivering proposals to clients.
- Reviews job orders with specifications, organizes bids and places them in correct filing system ensuring all requirements are met.
- Reviews job specifications and instructions covering project scope and other work to be performed. Briefs all stakeholders on the project's scope and ensures specifications are understood.
- Assists in job execution and ordering of job materials.
- Oversees project schedules.
- Serves as contact for customers regarding job related questions and concerns.
- Coordinates with operations regarding inter-company job related activities regarding obtaining job specific equipment and laborers needed.
- Conducts walkthroughs of job sites to discuss scope of work and/or any revisions based on customer requests or field conditions.
- Oversee and execute onsite work as needed.
- Works with Operations Team to coordinate resources required for successful job execution
- Participates in regular Production / Client Meetings
- Responsible for maintaining and executing the project schedule
- Responsible for all customer correspondence and submittals.
- Ensures the project team complies to all customer contracts and requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET university or Associates/ AET degree, degree with an emphasis on power systems preferred
- 2-3 years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations OR experience designing protection & control schemes.
- Experience in reading and interpreting One Line, AC & DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams
- Proficient computer, computer network, and Android/iPhone app skills: Microsoft Office suite of software, mapping drive letters for server connections, obtaining, installing, and connecting handheld device apps to ‘The Cloud’ or other locations as required
- Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record

The expected compensation range for this position is based upon several factors, including but not limited to education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience and work location.
