Job Description

We are devoted to discovering and developing new medicines for those patients with unmet medical needs. AbbVie's clinical research operates with a collaborative model that seeks to build the pipeline of discoveries from inside and outside the company's own walls. AbbVie's current therapeutic areas of interest are Antiviral (HCV, HIV and RSV), Immunology, Men's Health, Neuroscience, Oncology, Pain, Renal, and Women’s Health. Within each of these therapeutic areas, we have various products in development. The products will change over time as compounds progress through our development program. A critical component of medicinal product development is clinical research, which involves conducting clinical trials in humans to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new products.           

Responsibilities:

Participate in nursing study related activities as required by protocol compliance with Corporate, divisional, and departmental SOP’s and external (CFR, ICH GCP) regulatory guidelines.  Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.  Participate in quality and compliance improvement initiatives and provide feedback as appropriate. 

Ability to provide direct patient care in a professional and respectful manner required.  Knowledge of patient care fundamentals, including aseptic principles and techniques required (starting IV’s, participate in dosings, etc.).  Ability to read documents or instruments required.   Identifies situations that require further intervention and escalates appropriately.  Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks with occasional interruptions required.
