Job Purpose
The Director, Planning Capability Agile Hub directly leads the team of capability leads providing coaching and guidance for successful execution and sustainment of capability enhancements and ensuring their professional development. The Director, Planning Capability Agile Hub manages the overall Planning Capability book of work resourcing, closely partnering with the Global Capability Owners, GSC Transformation, IT, and Finance to ensure consistent execution and clear escalation. As needed, provides leadership for large and complex capability programs, including matrix leadership of sub-programs, as applicable
Key responsibilities
- The Planning Capability Agile Hub builds and manages a strong and diverse high performing team of capability leads, including managing the pool of shared resources, ensuring a balanced workload across the resource, ensuring adequate functional and project / initiatives support, and identifying competencies requirements and defines opportunities to expand and grow.
- Promotes operational excellence, process standardization and harmonization where appropriate. Empowers rapid decision-making by removing barriers, setting clear priorities and streamlining processes; provides the relevant information, resources and tools that enable others to own decisions and act.
- Drives subject matter expertise and ongoing learning across their team by creating learning opportunities for team members to gain valuable, tangible experience and grow. Creates a safe space for speaking truth and idea generation; encourages constructive disagreement and creative debate; celebrates both go and no-go decisions; values individuals that flag risks or present efficiencies even if they result in a change of course.
- As required, provides leadership for large and complex capability programs, including matrix leadership of sub-programs, as applicable. Develop training content, key performance indicators (KPI’s) and change management to ensure user adoption and adherence to standard ways of working for deployment of new or uplifted capabilities.
- Aids in defining and deploying transparent project management framework within the Planning Capability, partnering with GSC Transformation colleagues, including transparent and meaningful KPIs and capability performance
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders both within & outside of GSC
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining robust governance and data integrity.
Professional experience and qualifications
Education:
- B.S. or BA in supply chain, management, technical field (biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or related disciplines) or data science; a Masters or MBA preferred.
- Advanced certification in Supply Chain Management strongly preferred (e.g. APICS CSCP/ CPIM).
- Operational excellence experience (Green/Black belt or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
- Broad and diverse experience in supply chain functions highly desired.
- Proven track record of leading transformational projects with high performing teams with cross functional teams
- Strong ability to navigate complex organizations, aligning and integrating cross-functional resources into cohesive teams in a highly matrixed environment.
- Previous people leadership experience highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and deploy innovative ideas that optimize processes and create value.
