Prime Video is changing the way millions of customers interact with video content. Our team delivers high-quality video to Amazon customers through subscriptions (Amazon Prime) as well as purchases and rentals.
We are looking for talented data engineer to help us build Prime Video next-gen Data Platform to power all off-line and online data applications. Key job responsibilities
A Data Engineer in Content Data Platform is responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing Prime Video’s Supply Chain data based datasets which are used for Analytics, Machine learning models and Operational use cases. Additionally, they must build and manage the platform for building these datasets and improve core infrastructure for Analytics applications.
We source data from different teams with different tech stack (Dynamo DB, Dynamo DB Streams, S3, different file formats, Kinesis streams). Data Engineers will determine the appropriate data model for, end-to-end data flow and design, development of data pipelines.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience with distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
