Currently seeking an Occupational Therapist for Staten Island Preparatory in Tottenville, Staten Island.

Role Description:

  • Full Time | Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 A.M-3:00 P.M
  • 10 month program with 30 day summer session

Responsibilities include: 

  • Review and interpret assessment data and present attending students’ needs and capabilities.
  • Establish relevant and attainable short term and long term goals which reflect assessment data.
  • Prepare IEP, daily treatment plans and Progress Reports as needed.
  • Work within the classroom setting and work with classroom staff to create an environment which maximizes function and compensates for dysfunction.
  • Provide purposeful activities or methods, employed to develop, maintain, improve, restore and/or maximize function and compensate for dysfunction.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Occupational Therapy
  • New York State License required
  • Pediatric experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with children with developmental disabilities
