Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer that will work with the maintenance team to ensuresafe and efficient operation of our sheet steel mill. While working as part of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Engineer will lead by example with respect to safety, reliability, quality, costs, project management,and Nucor culture. The Engineer will be responsible for the execution of reliability-based programs to ensureoptimum performance of plant operations in multiple applications and will ensure the effective execution of predictive and preventive maintenance programs.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years of industrial maintenance in the steel making industry with rolling or galvanizing knowledge.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience leading a team.
• CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), or CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer.)
