Senior Test Software Development Engineer

It entails automated, end-to-end testing of various features including (but not limited to) L2/L3/MPLS functionalities, Platform and QOS features, evaluating the performance of the hardware, and stressing/scaling these features and their interaction.</p><p>The employee will work closely with different groups within the organization including the Software and Hardware Development teams, Support team and Product Management team in order to drive the feature to completion (ready for GA release).</p><p> </p><ul><li>Create and execute test plans for functional and system testing on Nokia's IP products</li><li>Review test plans, test procedures and infrastructure for adequacy and completeness/correctness</li><li>Automate all test cases using Python in Pytest environment</li><li>Integrate automation in the regression infrastructure</li><li>Augment test strategies with real-world Customer deployments.</li><li>Work with product documentation team for creating and maintaining customer documentation</li></ul><p>This position is expected to play a role in system design so that Quality Assurance is considered throughout the entire lifecycle of the product.</p><p> <br/> </p> <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates with Bachelor´s in CS, EE, will be more relevant. Master’s degree is a plus.</li><li>8-12 yrs software development and engineering experience</li><li>Ability to lead technical discussions and decisions</li><li>Strong communication skills, technical abilities, personal and project management skills are desired</li><li>Knowledge (and experience if possible) of routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP) and/or signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP, Segment Routing)</li><li>Experience in IP networking testing and troubleshooting</li><li>Experience and knowledge of Linux and programming languages (preferably scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, shell)</li><li>Knowledge (and experience if possible) of CNF (Cloud-native Networking Function), VNF (Virtualized Networking Function), SDN, and related virtualization/cloud technologies (Containers, Kubernetes, OpenStack, KVM/QEMU, Xen, Vmware ESXi) is a big plus.</li><li>Familiarity with networking test tools (IXIA, Spirent, IPerf, Wireshark, etc).</li><li>Proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team.</li><li>Quick learner, self-starter.</li><li>Please submit your CV in English.
