SAP Finance Consultant - Senior - General Ledger Manager

The work

The SAP Finance Functional Manager is responsible for analysis, building and configuration of SAP to meet business process and application requirements related to the client's business process(es).  The SAP Finance Manager will work closely with architects, developers, technical services teams and the client to perform job functions and responsibilities and/or activities, minding integration between activities and other sub-teams to ensure efficiency. 

Key responsibilities:

• Gather requirements and design solutions to meet these requirements
• Facilitate interaction with technical counterparts to ensure technical solutions meet all functional requirements
• Develop test strategies and managing large complex test efforts
• Business process design and system analysis
• Coordinate and manage across architects, developers, technical services (i.e. BASIS, Middleware, Portal) and business analysts to perform business analyst functions and responsibilities
• Maintenance, enhancement and/or development of SAP modules, including interfacing with other applications
• Experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting and work planning
• Manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members

Here’s what you need:

• 7+ years of experience with SAP ECC Finance
• SAP Finance subject matter expertise in two or more of the following domains: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Funds Management
• Experience managing work streams and a team of junior resources

Nice to have:

• SAP Public Sector Management (Financials) experience
• Configuration experience
• Ability to create a budget for each level of this 3-dimensional structure
• Strong background in Funds Management
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Eligibility Requirements:

• US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust government clearance
• Ability to travel 25% to the client site

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
