Position: Curriculum Support Specialist

Are you passionate about education and detail-oriented? Indian River State College (IRSC) is looking for a dedicated Interim Curriculum Support Specialist to join our dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master IRSC Programs: Maintain a strong working knowledge of IRSC’s educational programs and courses.

  • Data Management: Train and oversee data entry in IRSC’s Student System and maintain our online working catalog.

  • Statewide Coordination: Work with the Statewide Course Number System to ensure compliance with state guidelines.

  • Communication: Respond to inquiries both in writing and by telephone.

Specific Duties:

  • Compliance: Ensure programs and courses meet state guidelines and common course numbering standards.

  • Curriculum Development: Assist instructional areas with curriculum development and submissions to SACSCOC and State and Curriculum Committees.

  • Record Keeping: Preserve curriculum records and update the College’s online catalog.

  • Reporting: Run custom reports in Workday and monitor course sections for data accuracy.

  • Support: Assist schedulers at all campuses, update course section fees, and enter date controls each term.

  • Coordination: Notify Deans/Campus Presidents of course sections needing attention.

  • Testing: Test Workday releases biannually.

  • Publications: Review College publications and maintain office supplies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of IRSC’s educational programs and courses.

  • Working with the Statewide Course Number System.

  • Responding to inquiries both in writing and by telephone.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance to State guidelines for programs, courses, and common course numbering.

  • Assisting instructional areas with curriculum development, SACSCOC, and State and Curriculum Committee submissions.

  • Reviewing and updating the College’s online catalog.

  • Running custom reports in Workday as needed.
