AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Orlando, FL office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Prepare calculations and reports. 

• Gain experience with engineering systems and learn to read building plans and specifications. 

• Perform analysis (voltage drop and short-circuit calculations) of electrical design schemes. 

• Interact with various members of a design team. 

• Create and/or modify CAD/Revit models. 

QUALIFICATIONS  

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required with the applicable high school courses or equivalent training, or if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field in an ABET accredited program. 

• EDUCATION: High school level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required. 

• SPECIAL SKILLS: Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases. Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (preferred but not required). 

• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None.
