Director Activation Construction Projects

Overview

Responsible for leading the review, planning and activation processes for major projects for multiple locations across Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Centers and Clinics. Oversees project management sta? for activations. Performs as Clinical Liaison

Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and manages activation processes for new and renovated clinical care units.

Leads Project Teams in every aspect to transition a construction project into safe, functioning clinical space, as needed.

Oversees Project Managers who review and maintain project documentation, administer change orders, monitor construction schedule, and plan for activations activities.

Collaborates with Facilities Engineering leadership team and others as required.

Resolves project activation Approves solutions for implementation.

Administers project activation

Keeps senior management informed regarding status of project schedules, barriers, and risks.

Manages decommissioning and commissioning processes for units being renovated or opened.

Supports the activation of construction projects as required.

Performs other duties as required or assigned

Administer project activation schedules

Supports and assists with project estimates and budgets including equipment and furnishing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in operational hospital leadership, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project Management or Leadership experience.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed in a professional health care field.
