The impact you will have:

The Director, Development Capital - Systems & Processes will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the processes and systems that support the company’s Property Development teams, while ensuring effective integration of project execution tools and financial analytics. This position will establish and manage a centralized system and process for portfolio management to provide reliable project information in real-time across all development projects. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration with development teams and business system support (BSS) teams to ensure efficient functionality and accurate reporting to support strategic decision making.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Develop and implement a centralized framework for portfolio management of development projects to align capital planning with project execution, including leading the implementation of Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Define and manage the functional requirements for systems supporting cost, schedule, project management, and portfolio management by collaborating with various stakeholders, including Development, Predevelopment, Procurement, Investment, Finance, Accounting and Sales.
  • Establish and refine processes for tracking project performance and mitigating risks across all capital initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to guide decision-making and create feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
  • Integrate cross-functional data from development and financial teams to provide a cohesive view of capital development performance, manage scenario planning, and create dashboards and reports for leadership team.
  • Develop key performance indicators to measure portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with company’s investment strategy and underwriting.
  • Act as the business owner of tools and processes, ensuring they meet the needs of the property development organization.
  • Collaborate with BSS to prioritize system enhancements and integrations that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Drive adoption and successful implementation of initiatives across cross-functional teams, including ongoing training and support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, construction management, financing, or accounting; or relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Proven successful implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate future opportunities and challenges and commitment to achieving measurable results.
  • Familiarity with construction industry and trends relevant to the company’s goals.
  • Seven or more years of experience in project management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ten or more years of experience in project management preferred with progressive leadership roles.
  • Prior experience in a management role a plus.
