The Parks & Wildlife Service is Tasmania’s biggest land manager and a significant tourism operator, contributing to the state’s brand and delivery of visitor experiences. It is responsible for managing Tasmania’s parks and reserves and protecting the State’s unique natural and cultural values.

The role of General Manager (Operations) is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the operational management of our parks and reserves and Crown Land across the State, and to support the delivery of key Government initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will be an accomplished leader, an outstanding communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and engage at all levels.

Relevant tertiary qualifications are desired or demonstration of an equivalent level of skills together with a proven record of management in a large private or public sector organisation.

The role is a Senior Executive position for a period of up to 5 years and offers an attractive remuneration package, which incorporates salary ranging from $183,884 to $202,163 p.a., plus 12% superannuation and private use of a fully maintained vehicle.
