Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive quality assurance and compliance program services. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and standards. Lead development and implementation of policies to guide program operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices. Provide oversight to ensure consistent policy implementation. Establish and maintain robust data collection and analysis systems to inform decision-making. Utilize data insights to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for program operations, with a strong emphasis on compliance metrics. Analyze data to drive performance improvements and ensure program effectiveness. Lead development and implementation of training programs to ensure staff competency in job functions, compliance, data management, and policy adherence. Proactively identify and mitigate risks through comprehensive risk management strategies.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute the organization's program operations strategy.
- Provide visionary leadership to Quality and Performance teams across the UM Division.
- Lead Quality and Performance team on the design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive quality assurance and compliance program for UM Division Programs.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
- Lead Quality and Performance team on the development and implementation of policies to guide program operations, ensuring alignment with governing body regulations and standards, organizational goals, and best practices.
- Provide oversight to ensure consistent policy implementation across all UM Division Programs.
- Establish and maintain robust data collection and analysis systems to inform decision-making.
- Utilize data insights to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for program operations, with a strong emphasis on compliance metrics.
- Analyze data to drive performance improvements and ensure program effectiveness.
- Streamline and optimize program processes to enhance efficiency and resource utilization while maintaining strict compliance standards.
- Work closely with the VP of UM Program Operations to standardize best practices across all UM Division Programs.
- Led the Quality and Performance Team on the development and implementation of training programs to ensure staff competency in compliance, data management, policy adherence, and program day-to-day operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate with external partners, stakeholders, and agencies to enhance program impact while maintaining compliance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant organizations in the nonprofit sector.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks through comprehensive risk management strategies.
- Ensure that risk mitigation plans align with compliance requirements.
Other Functions:
- Develop and maintain project plans for new quality assurance projects, and proactively manage timelines.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must adapt to the organization's technological platforms and strategic changes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration).
- Minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience in program operations within the nonprofit sector, with a strong focus on compliance and data management.
- Proven track record of implementing quality assurance measures and driving performance improvements while maintaining compliance.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Available to undertake frequent and extended travel as required.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Physical Demands:
Must be able to drive and travel as needed. Other requirements include daily use of various office equipment, frequent typing and writing, as well as bending, twisting, stooping, climbing upstairs, and lifting up to 20 lbs. items that may be required to complete tasks. Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.
