Position Overview:
Forge Biologics is seeking a Quality Engineering & Validation Intern to join our 2023 Ignite Internship Program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure quality engineering and validation through system qualification, process improvement, and program management. You will gain hands-on experience in the gene therapy manufacturing process through qualification of GMP systems, such as chromatography systems and bioreactors (up to 5000 L).
Who you are:
- You are a current junior currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
- You are studying Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field
- You are a self-starter, detail-oriented, collaborative, and organized
- You have project management skills and experience in the lab setting is a plus
What you'll do:
- You will get hands on experience with cGMP systems, including manufacturing equipment and laboratory instruments, and interact with all departments in Operations
- You will support projects related to validation and assist with implementation of new cGMP Systems
- You will support several cross-functional quality engineering and validation activities such as functional verification, data peer review, and report analysis

During the Summer Internship Program, you will work on real business issues/projects and learn from industry leaders. Our interns will work onsite at our offices in Grove City, OH (just 15 minutes from downtown Columbus, Ohio).
