Sr. Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

The Sr. Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring an exceptional level of quality in the processing of incoming and outgoing Burroughs product.  The Sr. Warehouse Associate assists in the process of recording incoming and outgoing part information in the Burroughs Asset Management system and must be able to meet productivity, quality and safety standards while performing tasks associated with the receipt, storage and shipment of Burroughs product.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

• Meticulous recording of incoming and outgoing part information in Company’s Asset Management System.
• Preparing all incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving paperwork.
• Inspecting and reporting incoming package damage to driver and completion of internal paperwork that reflects the problems identified.
• Moving incoming packages with paperwork to appropriate departments.
• Tracking and requesting packaging materials as needed.
• Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, shipping, inventory counting, palletizing product, etc.

• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
• Knowledge of good packaging practices
• Problem solving skills and ability to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal direction

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• This job operates in a warehouse environment
• The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate warehouse vehicles and hand tools
• Employee may be exposed to changing temperatures, dust, fumes, and gases

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Shipping/Receiving Experience
• Experience with packaging equipment. (tape dispensers, banding tools, pallet jacks, anti-static packaging, liquid foam fill packaging, shrink wrap, box sizing, scales)
• At least 2 years' experience in supply chain operations or warehousing/manufacturing environment
