About the role

Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role supporting multiple segments/departments. The HRBP serves as an advisor to managers and employees, providing expert support in areas such as organizational effectiveness, change management, employee engagement, career development, and workforce planning. The HRBP helps drive business results through organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, workforce performance, and sound HR practices.


Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

  1. Partner with senior leaders within the assigned segment to align HR initiatives with business goals and drive organizational effectiveness.
  2. Use HR metrics and analytics to monitor, assess, develop, and recommend strategies within assigned segment to guide decision-making, address segment-specific challenges, and enable sustained growth.
  3. Lead efforts within the segment to enhance organizational design, improve team effectiveness, and build leadership capability.
  4. Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning processes to ensure long-term organizational strength.
  5. Partner with managers to build career paths, identify development opportunities, and support the growth of emerging leaders.
  6. Act as a trusted resource for addressing employee concerns, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  7. Develop and maintain effective communication within the segment to ensure clarity and alignment on HR policies, initiatives, and organizational changes.
  8. Oversee the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the segment and broader HR teams, ensuring seamless information flow and collaboration.
  10. Facilitate training sessions, presentations, and discussions to enhance employee development and engagement.
  11. Provide guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and conduct workplace investigations with consistency, discretion, and fairness.
  12. Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies, mitigating risks effectively.
  13. Other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Education & Experience Requirements:

  •   Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years as a business partner or generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and best practices. 
  • Demonstrated success in managing change, influencing leaders, and driving engagement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Comfortable with data and able to use insights to drive decision-making.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

The physical demands of are generally light and primarily aligned with office-based work unless visiting operational facilities/sites.

Specific requirements include:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or other digital devices.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
  • Occasional walking during on-site visits to different areas within the organization.
  • Active listening and clear speech are essential for effectively supporting and coaching leaders and employees.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment as required
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind if on location
  • Travel up to 25%
