Sr. Broadcast Negotiator

Job Description

The Sr. Broadcast Negotiator oversees the entire buying and implementation process for TV and Radio Investment. The Senior Broadcast Negotiator manages the top markets.  Successfully negotiates and manages client’s media and promotional opportunities in their respective markets.  Maintain a professional image within the company, all its clients, vendors and outside community. 

Responsibilities:

• Must have extensive market knowledge while maintaining strong market/vendor relationships in all local media disciplines 
• Maintain the most efficient market costs while estimating the anticipated target audience delivery accurately in top market(s)
• Be able to develop, negotiate and communicate to the Broadcast Group Manager(s) the most effective and efficient media strategy to reach the clients marketing objectives through the various media channels (local cable, television, radio) available in their assigned market(s)
• Negotiate added value, promotional opportunities and any other elements that may be unique to the market 
• Adhere to buying guidelines and meet all required due dates
• Ensure operational excellence (timeliness and accuracy) across the media billing payable process.
• Ensure open payables for each month are monitored and that any payable discrepancies are resolved to ensure accurate campaign posting
• Oversee and actualize each campaign including the negotiation of monitoring pre-emptions and approving makegoods
• Deliver post campaign reporting to Media Brand, client detailing campaign actuals, highlights, and secure compensatory weight when necessary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of media planning and/ or buying experience focused on Broadcast Channels – TV & Radio
• Experience with broadcast industry tools such as: Strata, etc.
• Able to work independently, self-starter
• Ability to manage expectations with internal and external vendors and stakeholders.  
• Strong analytical skills and budgeting proficiency
• MS Office skills: Outlook

Additional Information

The anticipated Salary Range for the position is $68,000 - $110,400. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job- related qualifications, and geography.
