About the role

The Vice President, Operations (VP) for the Medical Group will be focused on the operations of the medical group in the market, directing and overseeing all operations, both administrative and clinical services, for multiple physician office sites supporting up to one hundred employed physicians. The VP is expected to work with the CMO and hospital president to provide the leadership, direction, and technical expertise to support clinic operations, support components of the acquisition process and front-end revenue cycle activities. Integral to success in this position, the VP must focus on the needs of our provider partners as well as effectively collaborate with hospital service line leaders and clinical personnel to ensure the success of each clinical operating unit in a manner that supports the overall strategy of Baptist Health Deaconess. The VP is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of a cohesive operational infrastructure that provides for an exceptional patient experience and service excellence for the referring providers. Success in this position will be evidenced by the achievement of budget targets, physician engagement, service excellence, and overall strong financial results. Assures that all regional medical group activities are consistent with the mission and vision of Baptist Health Deaconess, focusing on key operations goals that support efficient practice operations and high-quality patient and provider satisfaction, through exceptional customer service and patient care. The Vice President, Medical Group Operations is expected to create a strong team-oriented culture that is committed to patient-centered customer service, personal accountability, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
A. MBA/MHA required. Healthcare experience must be in business line that delivers direct patient care and works directly physicians. Resume must demonstrate professional accomplishment evidenced by upward mobility and increasing responsibility.
B. Minimum of 8 - 12 years increasingly responsible management experience in large physician organizations strongly preferred. Experience with hospital-owned or sponsored physician networks is ideal.
C. Experience in physician practice acquisition and integration; as well as, practice development preferred.
