Sr Accountant

 

Type: Full-Time / Exempt

Location: Cutler Bay, FL

 

Position Summary : The Sr Accountant plays a critical role in managing essential general accounting functions for a publicly traded company. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards, maintaining financial integrity, and driving process improvements.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries for cash, fixed assets, CIP, prepaids, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts and bank statements, and analyze general ledger and fixed asset activities.
  • Support external/internal audits, ensuring SOX compliance and adherence to public company reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with A/R and A/P teams to resolve customer and vendor management issues.
  • Prepare and analyze internal financial reports, delivering actionable insights.
  • Oversee technical accounting projects and develop policies to enhance internal controls and scalability.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, supporting the company’s growth and market expansion.

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
  • 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Expertise in managing fixed assets and construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts.
  • Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and intercompany transactions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a team-oriented mindset.
