OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
Supervise the packaging of quality products in a safe and cost-effective environment on assigned shifts to meet the production plan.
Accountabilities
- Accountable for ensuring daily execution of maintenance routines as specified in the autonomous maintenance policy.
- Accountable for ensuring issues are identified and addressed on a timely basis.
- Supervise 2-4 packaging lines of quality products in a safe and cost-effective environment on assigned shift.
- Moderate direct impact on profitability through efficient planning, reduced downtime, reduction of scrap, and proper reporting.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed production piece rates by controlling the costs, manpower, and support necessary to meet the schedule, on 2-4 lines.
- Implement projects for both departmental and corporate improvements.
- Train and motivate assigned hourly personnel.
- Coordinate activities with all related departments.
- Perform personnel activities such as communication, appraisal, discipline, meetings, written procedures, etc.
- Monitor accuracy of a variety of reports such as bar code, labor, batch record/shop order reconciliation, safety, and data entry, as required over the 2-4 lines of responsibility.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree or the equivalent.
- Minimum of four years of related experience including one year of supervisory experience.
