About the role
RINGER.com LLC, launched by Bill Simmons in 2016, is a website, podcast network and scripted and non-scripted video production house creating an innovative blend of sports, pop culture, politics, and tech content. The Ringer Podcast Network includes over 30 popular podcasts, featuring chart-topping shows such as “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” “The Rewatchables” and “The Ryen Russilio Podcast,” among many others. The Ringer was acquired by Spotify in 2020.
We are seeking full-time summer interns to assist with our podcast department. Interns will provide support to the podcast producers and talent covering topics that drive The Ringer universe: sports, popular culture, technology, politics, food, and more.
The United States hourly rate for this position is 27.00 USD (Undergraduate First Year & Sophomores), 32.00 USD (Undergraduate Juniors & Seniors), 44.00 USD (Masters) & 58.00 USD (PhD) per hour plus a one-time intern stipend of 2,253 USD. This position is overtime eligible. These rates may be modified in the future.

We are seeking full-time summer interns to assist with our podcast department. Interns will provide support to the podcast producers and talent covering topics that drive The Ringer universe: sports, popular culture, technology, politics, food, and more.
What you'll do
- Provide production support for a full range of podcasts, from fact-checking, research, data analysis, interview transcribing, pre-and post-production, and other CMS work as needed
- Provide administrative support
- Shadow engineering and editing sessions to learn fundamental audio editing skills
- Opportunity to pitch segment or episode ideas to hosts
- You will work from our office in Los Angeles
Who you are
- A current undergraduate student planning to graduate in 2024
- You currently have valid work authorization to work in the country in which this role is based that will extend from June to August 2023
- You have experience at a student podcast, radio station, television network, newspaper, or magazine
- You have a solid understanding of Pro Tools, ideally; Audition also acceptable
- Must have at least one prior professional internship
- Must show a fundamental ability to make sound editorial judgments and balance conflicting priorities
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure, including working evenings and weekends
