The company’s mission is to revolutionize the premium cataract surgery experience by allowing surgeons to partner with their patients to achieve optimized results for every unique eye.


OVERVIEW:

The Associate Director of medical affairs will be responsible for providing clinical support to multiple internal and external customers, including clinical trainers, MD and OD customers, R&D, and marketing. This individual will be a subject matter expert in company technologies, provide responses to clinical information requests from internal and external customers and develop clinical messages with cross-functional teams to support marketing plans. On-site support may occur from time to time to provide LAL education to prospective or current users, to collect/analyze data as part of a clinical outcomes program, or to provide clinical support/recommendations for identified clinics.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide fair and balanced clinical, scientific, and educational information to Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and other eyecare professionals, including in response to unsolicited off-label inquiries about the use of the technology.
  • Support LAL education opportunities for prospective or current users including the use of clinical data as collected/analyzed within RxSight’s clinical outcomes program.
  • Provide clinical support to identified LAL clinics. 
  • Attend and support company activities at national and regional meetings.
  • Maintain clinical, scientific and technical expertise in all current and future products
  • Ability to travel up to 25% travel as required.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to understand, integrate and effectively communicate scientific/clinical and commercial value of company products and technology
  • Previous industry experience working with Clinical/R&D/Marketing teams in a highly regulated, commercial medical device business.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management abilities
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with clinicians and other Healthcare Professionals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as scientific acumen
  • A high degree of personal initiative and a high professional standard for all interactions.

  • None

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • Clinical degree (MD or OD)
  • 5 + years of related experience working in cataract surgery devices required. 
  • Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
  • The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis
