This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite on a full-time basis.

This role requires up to 80% domestic and international travel.

  • WHY: This role is critical for our manufacturing facilities to limit yard holds that require reflash and save GM money while reflashing different ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) at bench level prior to the vehicle build.

  • WHAT: Drive execution of loose piece reflash across the enterprise and lead the on-site team/ contractors.

  • HOW: The role involves streamlining the loose piece reflash process by managing the logistics of reflash kits, including hardware, tools, and software. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders such as Plant, Program, and Engineering teams to ensure effective material coordination and addressing any roadblocks by escalating issues as necessary.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Develop an understanding of the software reflash process by collaborating with the engineering and program teams.

  • Work with the Manufacturing Plant teams to coordinate execution.

  • Development of automation tools, scripts, and reflash harnesses

  • Travel to the Manufacturing Plant sites and yard is required to facilitate reflash

  • Lead onsite team members or contractors to support reflash

  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

    Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

    • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience; an engineering degree is preferred.

    • Solid understanding of fundamental manufacturing and assembly processes.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing complex and unconventional challenges.

    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% to various GM sites as needed

    • Flexibility to work varying shift schedules, including weekends and rotating shifts, to support Program Development and Launch Execution

    What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

    • Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

    • Strong understanding of End-of-Line testing processes in a manufacturing environment.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in software reflash and automation tools.

    • Experience in developing vSPY scripts.
