Job Summary

This Position Is Responsible For Applying Experience Rating Methodologies And Various Analytical Approaches To Complex New Business And/Or Renewals For Existing Clients. Underwriter Demonstrates Dynamic Levels Of Expertise In Several Areas Including Product, Contractual/Regulatory, And Project Initiatives While Maintaining A High Degree Of Customer Focus.

Required Job Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree and 3 years of Group Underwriting experience OR 7 years of insurance industry experience.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiation skills for handling appeals on new business rate offers and renewal actions.
• Independent judgment and problem resolution skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills.
• Math aptitude.
• Customer service skills.
• PC proficiency to include EXCEL.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office proficiencies (ACCESS, WORD AND POWERPOINT)

Base Pay Range

$53,500.00 - $118,100.00
