Medical Receptionist

Overview

Visiting Physician Services, is a physician-based medical house call practice headquartered in Neptune serving homebound patients throughout New Jersey.  Our practice is comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with the mission of treating elderly, frail, homebound patients with dignity and compassion .

 

We are currently looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team on a hybrid basis. The position would be responsible for answering a high volume of phone calls while providing excellent customer service as well as providing administrative support to the clinicians.

 

 

Responsibilities

Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

Answers high  volume of phone calls while providing excellent customer service

Provides administrative support to clinicians

Performs registration of new patients and insurance verifications

Provides back-up support for other team members as needed

Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Qualifications

2-3 years work related experience

Strong computer skills

Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA

Knowledge of SpringCM archive system preferred  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Business Office Environment with phone and computer use.

 

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $35,330.00 to USD $49,470.00.  When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
