Veterinary Assistant
Veterinary Surgical Center at The LifeCentre in Leesburg, VA
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assisting board-certified surgeons in the care of surgical patients, preparing for surgical procedures and assisting with pre- and post-op care for patients
- Helping with surgical instruments, cleaning, packing and sterilizing
- Performing all laboratory in-hospital procedures and to prepare specimens for outside laboratories
- Taking patient histories, vital signs, and weights on patients and assist with consults and other appointments
- Delivering strong and professional customer service to clients, and more!

REQUIREMENTS
- One to three years of veterinary experience
- Experience in specialty veterinary medicine preferred
- Positive and energetic individual
- Be a team player, who excels whether in a group or working alone
- Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Be comfortable with multi-parameter monitoring equipment, inhalant, and injectable anesthesia agents
- Have a passion for improving quality of life for animals
- Excel at multitasking and working cooperatively with others
