Field Technician/Courier - Environment Testing

Job Description

Position Summary: 

Performs routine and non-routine sampling, monitoring, and data collection activities in support of environmental monitoring programs and client service requests. Candidates will drive a company vehicle, and travel from State College to Lancaster, PA and occasionally to Pittsburgh, PA and various other locations as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Collects, documents, packages, and ships samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols. 
• Assists with routine and non-routine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs, which may involve hazardous material/waste project sites. 
• Assists with routine sample preparation and/or analyses, generally on site, in support of mobile laboratory operations or screening surveys. 
• Completes documents and is responsible for quality control of all assignments. 
• Follows and enforces company health and safety policies. 
• Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance
• Additional duties as required, including courier responsibilities 

Candidates will spend and estimated 85% of their time driving, and an estimated 15% of their time collecting samples. 

Position is 1st shift and will start as part time - estimated 3 days/week, and move into a full time position. 

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle 
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. regularly 
• Valid and up-to-date driver's license 
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship 

Ideal Candidates will have: 

• Prior field sampling experience 
• Previous lab experience is a plus.
• Prior courier or delivery driving experience is a plus 

Additional Information

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Pay range: $18-20/hour 

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
