To do this, we use mouse models, integrating techniques from mucosal immunology, molecular virology and computational genetics to understand 1) how the endogenous virome of the intestine influences exogenous viral infection, 2) how intestinal viruses evade antiviral strategies and 3) how subversion of intestinal defenses changes the host tropism potential of individual viruses. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn and innovate with a diversity of techniques, in both leading and supporting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain mouse colony (coordinating weaning, breeding, and crosses).

  • Maintain Inventory of lab consumables, including ensuring reagents are stocked and reordered when necessary.
