About the role
As a Financial Data Analyst you will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for analyzing financial data, cost accounting, statistical modeling, and creating informative dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial and cost accounting, a passion for data analysis, and a knack for turning complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Data Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including revenue, expenses, and profitability assessments.
- Develop financial models to forecast future financial performance.
2. Cost Accounting:
- Manage cost accounting processes, including tracking and analyzing costs related to products, projects, and services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
3. Statistical Modeling:
- Utilize statistical techniques to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Build and maintain predictive models to support financial forecasting and scenario analysis.
4. Dashboard Creation:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present financial insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and provide real-time access to key financial metrics.
5. Data Integrity:
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness in financial databases and reports.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to resolve data-related issues.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and management, to provide data-driven insights and support decision-making.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
Extensive experience as a data analyst.
Demonstrated expertise in finance and a solid financial background.
Proficiency in Dashboard Visualization Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Data Analytics Tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, SQL, Excel, Google BigQuery, among others).
Proactive and self-reliant problem solver, capable of addressing challenges independently.
Schedule: Full time (40hs weekly)
Compensation: 4k - 4.5k monthly.
