MEDIATOR
PUBLIC PROTECTION & ADVOCACY BUREAU
INSURANCE & FINANCIAL SERVICES DIVISION
(Boston or Regional Office)
The Attorney General’s Office is seeking to hire a Mediator to work in the Attorney General’s Insurance & Financial Services Division. The Division provides consumer assistance and enforces laws regarding insurance, investment, and lending issues, and has a focus on automobile lending and insurance, as well as a focus on post-secondary educational debt, including student loan servicing and debt collection.
Primary Duties:
· Mediate consumer complaints, with a particular focus on investments, annuities, and lending disputes, which may involve extended advocacy.
· Analyze and research various topics to provide information, referrals, and guidance to consumers.
· Collaborate with other government agencies and community partners.
Assist in investigations, litigation, and policy work relating to financial services issues.
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt . Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions. On in-office days, employees are required to report to one of our designated office locations, either in Boston or at a regional office.
Salary: $67,269
