Job Description

As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Overnight Shift in Orange, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment at a dynamic retail and mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service through positive and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with retail and mall staff to address security-related issues and support a positive experience for all patrons.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
