Please attach a resume for reviewTrinity Health Of New England is looking for a full-time, Phlebotomist to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators located at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy, specimen processing and other lab assistance, as needed. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.
What you will do:
Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods
Labels all specimens following laboratory policy
Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens
Work Hours/Shift:
• 40 hours, Evening - occ Night Shifts if needed for coverage, rotating weekends & holidays
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program
Certification: Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
