About the role

Job Overview 

Davies US is looking for an experienced Head of Internal Communications, with a broad range of internal communications experience to lead the U.S. based, highly talented in-house team.  Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Communications, you will lead a proactive internal communications strategy for our North American teammates, delivering high-quality content to support business objectives, a productive and cohesive work environment.  

 

To be successful in this role, you need to have superb communication skills, verbal and written, conducted in a timely manner, superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines and exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.  You must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or have equivalent level of work experience over 2 years, exceptional project management with the ability to multi-task and achieve multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment and M&A and integration experience.  Additionally, you will need to be an excellent team player with interpersonal skills, high level attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and display a comfort level working with key people at all levels within an organization.  This role is a full-time, hybrid role that requires you to be in Nashville, TN, or surrounding areas and willing to travel as needed (up to 10%).

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To lead, develop and execute the U.S. internal communications strategy, in line with the wider business strategy and priorities, ensuring consistency and alignment of internal communications.
  • Work with senior leaders and key stakeholders to lead the end-to-end development and implementation of an employee communication plan for teammates in the U.S.
  • Plan and oversee the delivery of U.S. senior leadership and employee engagement events to support business priorities.
  • Work closely with the M&A and project teams to support on the integration of any U.S. acquisitions – developing and implementing communication plans to ensure new teammates feel part of the organization.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all parts of the business and develop key contacts to facilitate the gathering of business-critical information for proactive and reactive internal communications.
  • Build great working relationships at all levels throughout the business, supporting leaders with effective communication delivery.
  • Develop, plan, and oversee all U.S. internal communication materials - developing content for use across multiple internal communications channels including, but not limited to email, intranet, social, presentations, videos, and town halls.
  • Optimize our communications channels to ensure we reach teammates effectively - this includes current channels as well as implementing new ones when required.
  • Monthly reporting on activity, using key metrics to inform, evaluate and improve our internal communications.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee content for the monthly newsletters, Intranet, CEO updates, and other regular U.S. internal communications.
  • People manage the U.S.        internal communications team to successfully deliver the U.S. internal communications plan.
  • Stay abreast of emerging communication technologies and platforms to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our channels.
  • Support the implementation of innovative solutions to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among teammates.
  • Manage the U.S. internal communications budget – working closely with the internal communications team and finance.

Experience and Qualifications

Required

  • bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or have equivalent level of work experience over 2 years
  • Exceptional project management with the ability to multi-task and achieve multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • M&A and integration experience

 

Preferred

  • Experience in shaping communications strategies and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders.
  • Experience understanding of the employee audience and their needs 
  • Experience team leader with excellent people management skills 
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
