About the role

Join TriHealth — Where Neurocritical Care Meets Purpose

Good Samaritan Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center dedicated to caring for the most complex stroke patients.

The 7Q Neurosurgical ICU at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is a specialized 20-bed unit focused on providing intensive care for patients with complex neurological conditions. The unit cares for individuals with aneurysms, brain tumors, spinal injuries, abscesses, arteriovenous malformations, and traumatic brain injuries, as well as patients participating in various research protocols.

The multidisciplinary team on 7Q is dedicated to delivering specialized care for these critically ill patients, using advanced monitoring techniques and individualized treatment plans.

The orientation process for nurses joining 7Q includes comprehensive training to develop the specialized skills necessary for neurosurgical critical care. This includes EKG and ACLS training, as well as critical care classes, followed by a six-week competency-based orientation (CBO) preceptorship.

Prior experience in neuro or critical care is preferred for those joining the 7Q ICU, and a minimum of one year of current medical/surgical or telemetry experience is recommended.
