Job Summary: The Painter is responsible for preparation and application of paints, varnishes, sealers and rustproofing coatings on all structural and architectural elements of the property.  This includes all walls, ceilings, millwork, doors and furnishings.

Essential Job Functions:         

  • Plans and executes maintenance program to ensure that all structural and architectural elements of the Casino, Hotel, offices, etc are maintained in a first class condition. 
  • Works with Carpenters to tape and float all drywall installations. 
  • Keeps all equipment, equipment rooms and other assigned areas clean.     
  • Assists all other trades in the Facilities Department as directed by Shift Supervisor. 
  • A security escort is required should these persons perform these job functions in a restricted casino area. 
  • Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encouraging others to do the same.

Qualifications:   

  • High School graduate preferred.   
  • Must possess strong communication skills.   
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team member.     
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance. 
  • Minimum three years experience working as a Journeyman Painter.   
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana Drivers License.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:              

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Casino. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.   
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned tasks. 
  • Must be able to work indoors & outdoors, climb ladders and work on man-lift type equipment.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. 
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
