MAJOR FUNCTION:
Under the general direction of the VP Quality and Patient Safety, the Quality & Patient Safety Coordinator: Data Specialist, promotes and contributes to the quality of care administered to patients at Inspira Health. Specializing in current concepts of performance improvement, demonstrating experience in regulatory agency requirements, criteria development, and data analysis techniques and applications. Responsible for the collection and analysis of Quality and Patient Safety data while performing the roles of expert data analyst, educator, and researcher based on focal priorities. Identifies trends and quality improvement opportunities. Works independently providing leadership with the most up to date and accurate information needed to complete Quality and Performance improvement activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in nursing, Healthcare related field, business, data science or another relevant field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare related field, business, data science or another relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience
- Experience in Data Analysis, Quality reporting and Performance Improvement
- Knowledge of current concepts in Data Analysis, Quality and Performance Improvement
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, process design, collaboration, teamwork, and problem solving
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps - Word, Excel, Power Point, QI Macros, Outlook and Teams
- Proficiency in statistical methods and data analysis techniques (i.e. control charts, run charts, etc.)
- Familiar with Healthcare databases and Electronic Health Records
Certifications:
- CPHQ preferred.
