Overview

Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Coordinator shall be directly responsible to supervise the activities of assigned Environmental Staff, to ensure that assigned areas are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with requisite standards of quality and safety, to teach a training program for all Environmental Services employees, to maintain supplies and manage the departments operational budget.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Follows directions and performs work according to department standards.
• Assists in establishing departmental policies, goals and objectives, work performance standards and standards of quality and safety for Environmental services.
• Conducts orientation and schedules new employees to be trained by a fellow employee for at least one week per area. Ensures each new employee follows the AIDET Standards are followed.
• Effectively counsels and disciplines employees.
• Requisitions required supplies and monitors utilization of housekeeping materials.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Desirable characteristics must include knowledge of cleaning in a clinical setting, leadership abilities, positive attitude and outstanding communicable skills a must.

Education:  Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. 

Experience: Two years of leadership in a clinical setting or equivalent.
