Position Overview:
Evercrisp Biosciences is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate to support our efforts in the discovery and development of next-generation genetic medicines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in molecular biology and cell biology techniques, including expertise in qPCR, cell culture maintenance and engineering, genome editing workflows, and assay development. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative programs targeting challenging biology in areas of high unmet medical need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and optimize molecular biology experiments, including nucleic acid isolation, PCR , and qPCR/RT-qPCR.
  • Perform cell culture and cell-based experiments, including maintenance of primary and immortalized cell lines, transfections, and stable cell line generation.
  • Develop and execute assays to assess cellular and molecular responses to genetic medicines, including gene expression profiling by qPCR or RNA-Seq and protein expression analysis by Western Blot, ELISA, microscopy or flow cytometry.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting, data analysis, and the establishment of robust protocols and SOPs for molecular and cellular assays.
  • Maintain detailed and organized electronic laboratory records in alignment with data integrity and compliance standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to present findings and provide scientific input into project strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field, with 3-6 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR/RT-qPCR, DNA/RNA isolation, and cloning.
  • Hands-on experience with genetic manipulation of cells (e.g., CRISPR-Cas technologies or oligonucleotide delivery) and related assay development.
  • Strong skills in cell culture and transfection methodologies.
  • Experience with high-throughput molecular and cell biology workflows or semi-automated platforms is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A passion for innovation and the development of transformative genetic medicines.
