About the role

As a Market Intelligence Associate Intern at Securitas Digital, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analysing market trends, competitors and potential partners. Your focus will be on keeping a watch on start-ups, scale-ups, competitors, and partners within Securitas Digital's space, particularly in relation to our commercial offerings: Risk Intelligence, Remote First, and People Safety as well as specific areas of Cyber Security. Based on your analysis of the market and specific companies, you will provide insights and recommendations for potential partnerships and venture opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze market trends, start-ups, scale-ups, competitors, and partners relevant for Securitas Digital.

• Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of key players.

• Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements and regulatory changes.

• Prepare reports and presentations on market and competitors' intelligence findings for internal use.

• Conduct specific analysis to identify potential venture and partnership opportunities.

• Perform financial analysis, including valuation, financial modelling and risk assessment.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.

• As part of investment opportunities, conduct thorough due diligence, including financial, operational, legal and market assessments.

• Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies during the due diligence process.

• Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports and recommendations.

• Collaborate with various departments in Securitas Digital and across the Securitas Group to align market intelligence efforts with Securitas Digital's and Securitas digital strategy.

• Present search results and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Strategic management or a related field.

• 2-5 years of experience in relevant fields (related to market and company analysis).

• Fluent English & Swedish.

• Strong analytical and research skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Highly proficient in leveraging generative AI for analysis and identification.

• Familiarity with the digital and SaaS companies as well as business models would be a plus.

• Familiarity with the Security industry would be a plus.

Reporting Line

The role reports to the VP, Strategy and Transformation Securitas Digital and works closely with other executives in Securitas to develop and implement our advanced technologies and innovations for growth.
