Customer SolutionsProvides subject matter expertise in the design, development, management, and implementation of BMO's Lending Referral Program, a program rooted in referrals from external COI's (Centers- of-Influence). Works across BMO to deliver specific program business results in alignment with overall group goals.
- Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.
- Understanding BMO's Lending Referral Program and able to articulate its value proposition.
- Develops strong partnerships with COI's that are external to BMO (Investment advisors/Life Insurance Agents)
- Developing and maintaining a strong network within the insurance and investment industry, attending industry events, conferences, and meetings to establish the company's presence and identify potential partnerships.
- Regularly connects work to BMO’s purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through.
- Managing and maintaining client accounts within the CRM System, ensuring accurate tracking of client engagement, action items, and updates.
- Improves team performance, recognizes and rewards performance, coaches employees, supports their development, and manages poor performance.
- Creates innovative business development strategies to grow the business in collaboration with other BMO partners.
- Contributes to the development of marketing and sales materials for new business opportunities
- Develops, maintains, and executes a business plan to achieve sales results.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Executes routine tasks (e.g. service requests, transactions, queries, etc.) in accordance with applicable service level agreements.
- Conducts analysis required to inform strategic business development recommendations, and considers the “big picture” to assess the advisability of a course of action toward meeting group and enterprise goals.
- May network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices.
- Breaks down strategic problems in business development, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
- Leads or participates in implementation of strategic business development initiatives within the group and across BMO by partnering with various internal and external stakeholders; complexity of initiatives may vary, and usually involve multiple stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience working with independent financial advisors and life insurance agents and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid knowledge of the investment/insurance industry in Canada.
- Strong business development acumen with proven results
- Familiarity with BMO products and services.
- Ability to create and implement a business plan.
- Knowledge of the competitors in the mortgage referral space.
- Strong communication/Presentation skills with the ability to communicate the BMO value proposition to external COI's.

Salary:
$74,800.00 - $138,600.00Pay Type:
SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
