Your Mission:
In this role, you will ensure advanced financial and business analysis support to the organization including senior management. You will work assignments which are of the greatest difficulty and largest financial impact. Plus, direct other staff in the department with respect to project approach, data acquisition, and assist with managing and completing reporting processes. You may supervise more junior staff and provide guidance as necessary.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Prepare forecasts and pro-forma analysis of various business initiatives to guide the operations of the company.
- Assist with managing and completing the sales and other business key performance indicators reporting process.
- Analyze marketing tests, R&D tests, operational initiatives, supply chain initiatives, price point analysis, and other general business issues.
- Maintain competitive intelligence analysis and reporting. Review the publicly available materials of our primary competitors to develop a thorough understanding of their business performance and report findings to senior management.
- Maintain food and paper cost reporting.
- Participate in the weekly cross-functional update meeting as a representative of the finance department.
- Participate in the Product Review Committee meetings as a representative of the finance department and present the findings of R&D tests.
- Consult with non-financial business partners, providing sound financial advice and support as requested.
- Collaborate with the Data Warehouse (Information Technology) team to ensure that the structure and functionality the electronic data warehouse supports the organizations analysis needs. Also collaborate with the data warehouse team to design and review automated data warehouse reports created for other departments.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Business or a related degree. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- High aptitude for advanced data analysis.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a role requiring in-depth experience with analytical tools, techniques, and financial reporting systems.
- Able to operate at a high-level of critical thinking and problem solving while working cross-functionally with other teams.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on sound business acumen and decision-making practices.
- Previous experience with development and maintenance of financial and management reporting systems.
- Proficient in use of personal computers and accessing information in a network environment. Thorough familiarity, at an advanced level, with the use of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Including the ability to interact directly, sometimes with little or no oversight, with franchisees, cross-functional business partners, and management/leadership. Must be adept at preparing and delivering written communications, verbal communications, and formal presentations.
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent degree is preferred.
- Preferred Industry related experience, particularly with large chains.
