The position

As an Associate Manager, you will lead a team of operators working in shifts. The team's responsibility is to ensure optimal operation of API production, process improvements, and a high focus on quality.

The main tasks will be to:

• Support your employees in their daily operations and continuous work with process optimizations

• Have responsibility for your team’s performance, setting targets and reaching them

• Set direction, motivate and develop your employees to keep them highly engaged

• Hiring people and ensuring the implementation of and compliance with the production targets and quality procedures in the area.

Most operators and skilled workers are working in shifts, and as a manager you will be expected to be on the shop floor with your employees. In addition, there is an opportunity to create strong professional, personal, and managerial development through the job.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you must have:

• Some managerial experience from similar jobs,

• Experience with pharmaceutical production

• Understanding of GMP and LEAN knowledge

• Good communication skills in Danish and English

It is considered an advantage to have a broad and well-proven leadership toolbox, knowledge, and experience with quality management and control.

As a leader, you demonstrate inclusive leadership by valuing and listening actively to diverse perspectives while keeping a strategic overview ensuring collaboration across business functions.

 

About the department 

The department is located at Novo Nordisk’s Kalundborg Site in Denmark.  It is a fast-paced high-throughput factory that produces critical API for our supply chain, and many patients rely on us for their ongoing treatment.
