We are seeking a skilled Director, Category Management- Indirect to join our team, to drive OmniMax’s global strategy for indirect categories procurement, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and future roadmaps. The Director, Category Management- Indirect is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for all indirect procurement categories, including but not limited to IT, marketing, HR, professional services, travel, and facilities. This leadership role requires a seasoned procurement professional with deep category management expertise, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and deliver value to the organization. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with company policies and maximizing operational efficiency.

Requirements 

We are searching for a candidate with: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on indirect spend categories.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze spend data and develop cost-saving strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
• Strong knowledge of procurement tools and technologies (e.g., e-sourcing platforms, spend analysis tools).
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

A typical day may include:  

•  Commodity Strategy Development & Execution: Formulate and implement comprehensive strategies for sourcing indirect categories. Focus on low-cost country sourcing and supplier quality enhancement.
•  Supplier Management: Oversee supplier development, quality assurance, and management. Conduct regular business reviews and manage outsourcing initiatives. Select suppliers that align with OmniMax’s strategic objectives. Manage suppliers and conduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
•  Cost Reduction & Spend Analysis: Perform detailed spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities. Utilize E-Sourcing tools to optimize procurement processes.
•  Supply Base Consolidation: Develop and execute strategies for supply base consolidation. Negotiate long-term agreements with preferred suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
•  Process Improvement: Streamline existing procedures to enhance product distribution efficiency. Implement tools like DPO consignment and VMI to improve supply chain velocity.
