This role will ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of critical data to support business operations and decision-making processes. The DBE will work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver efficient and scalable database solutions that meet the organization's current and future needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in SQL Server and Oracle database management systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to translate business requirements into effective relational database solutions. This role will be critical in maintaining the organization's data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the optimal performance of mission-critical applications across the enterprise.</p> <p><span>What will you be doing?</span></p> <ul> <li>Develop database schemas, tables, and indexes to optimize performance and ensure data integrity.</li> <li>Implement and maintain database security measures, including user authentication, access controls, and data encryption.</li> <li>Analyze and interpret database performance metrics to proactively identify areas for improvement</li> <li>Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues such as slow queries, database locks, and resource contention.</li> <li>Identify and address performance bottlenecks through query optimization, index tuning, and database configuration adjustments.</li> <li>Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and integrity.</li> <li>Optimize database indexes, query execution plans, and caching strategies to improve application responsiveness and scalability.</li> <li>Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.</li> <li>Configure and maintain database replication, clustering, or failover mechanisms to provide resilience against hardware failures, network outages, or natural disasters.</li> <li>Stay abreast of emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices through self-study, training, and participation in industry forums and conferences.</li> <li>Collaborate with software developers to design database schemas that align with application requirements and development workflows.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to database best practices, performance guidelines, and data access patterns.</li> <li>Work closely with application developers to optimize SQL queries, data access patterns, and database interactions for maximum efficiency.</li> </ul> <p><span>What are we looking for?</span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field</li> <li>In-depth knowledge and proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language)</li> <li>Proficiency in managing SQL database systems</li> <li>Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and data modeling</li> <li>Experience in database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, backup and recovery, security management, and performance tuning is important</li> <li>Knowledge of database security best practices and experience in implementing security measures such as user authentication, access controls, encryption, and auditing are important</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Effective communication and collaboration skills</li> <li>Communicative level of English<br/><br/></li> </ul> <p><span>Tech Stack</span></p> <ul> <li>SQL</li> <li>Oracle</li> <li>Amazon Web Services</li> <li>C# .Net</li> </ul> <p><span>What do we offer?</span></p> <p><strong>🗓️ Annual Salary Review: </strong>We are reviewing the salaries of all our teams annually
