Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC)

The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) is seeking an Executive Support Specialist 2 to provide high-level support to the Executive Director. TSPC is Oregon’s statewide agency responsible for maintaining the quality, integrity, and professionalism of licensed educators. From approving educator preparation programs to licensing more than 65,000 educators, our work strengthens both Oregon’s educator workforce and student outcomes.
In this role, you will serve as the Executive Director’s right hand, ensuring the Executive Director can focus where they are needed most. Your work will directly support TSPC’s mission and the educators and students we serve.
What You’ll Do
Provide confidential, high-level administrative support, including calendar, email, correspondence, and records management.
Coordinate meetings, events, travel, and logistics; prepare materials and support agency committees.
Serve as a liaison with the Governor’s Office, state agencies, legislative staff, and education partners.
Support policy development, agency planning, project tracking, and reporting on organizational milestones.
Assist with procurement, contracting, invoice processing, and public records requests.
Maintain and update agency web content and support internal and external communications.
Serve as HRIS Workday Workforce Liaison and assist with onboarding and HR-related tasks.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience performing administrative duties in support of agency projects or programs. Qualifying experience would involve data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations; or similar experience.
Special Qualifications:
Must be LEDS (law enforcement data systems) level 1 certified within 60 days of employment start date.
