The Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative Partner Development Manager- US to join our growing and take our company and platform to the next level!
Note: This role is based in the US (remote). Preference will be given to applicants from the following US states: MA, CA, IL, WA, AZ, TX.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed ambitious growth objectives through US partner acquisition: identifying and prospecting for new partner universities & colleges and new regional representation deals through outreach, networking, and presentations in assigned territories
In collaboration with Partner Sales Team & Partner Relations Team, meet and/or exceed US partner enrollment goals.
Exhibit drive and grit to lead visibility in the market, building the ApplyBoard brand with trusted partnerships across all products and services
Negotiate and execute partnership agreements and regional representation agreements with partner institutions
Serve as territory expert and contribute to broader partner development strategy, making recommendations to increase market scope and penetration
Effectively leverage CRM to drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness and for tracking and reporting purposes
Collaborate with Partner Relations and Partner Client Managers to provide seamless handoff and support to newly established partner institutions
Provide a positive and personalized approach with prospective partner institutions and other stakeholders
Pursue involvement in international education professional organizations and stay up-to-date on trends, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the PR team
Travel as needed (10-25%) to attend conferences, visit prospective partners, and participate in other activities intended to brand ApplyBoard and grow partnerships in the US
Gather and track external and internal data and trends and report evolving insights regarding market identification and business climate changes in assigned territories
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in business development to educational institutions and an established network within assigned region
Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling required
Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce, etc.)
Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
Self-motivated, self-started who is proactive, and dependable
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle objections
Working knowledge of Google and Microsoft productivity software
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
Strong English writing skills with keen attention to spelling and grammar
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent sales and presentation skills
Aptitude for prioritizing tasks with a high attention to detail to ensure information accuracy
