WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Assess, collect, and analyze comprehensive objective, subjective, psychosocial, and cultural data pertinent to patient condition to determine the nursing diagnosis, patient needs and plan of care.
• Collaborate with patients and their families, or primary caregiver, as well as members of a multidisciplinary team, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and enhancement of the patient experience.
• Communicate timely changes in the patient’s assessment and ongoing reassessment to providers that warrant consideration and/or a change in the plan of care.
• Develop an appropriate plan of care based on objective and subjective data, observations, and communications from patient and family and continuously reviews and revises the plan of care, as patient condition warrants.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, as per manufactures instruction or calling for repairs when required.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, families, and coworkers.
• Evaluate the individualized plan of care and progress towards attainment of outcomes in collaboration with patient/family utilizing available data/resources.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by handling and clearing instruments, equipment, and supplies, in accordance with infection-control policies and protocols.
• Practice nursing according to Franciscan Alliance and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
• Prioritize and implement the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, employs interventions to improve patient outcomes, while providing a safe, respectful, and ethical practice environment.
• Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patients, friends, and families to understand the condition, medications, and self-care skills.

Qualifications

Required Associate's Degree Nursing / Patient Care

Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing / Patient Care

2 years In related field Required

2 years Supervisory-level experience Preferred

Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in applicable state
